Title Reading/Math Job Description
Position Summary
The Santa Fe Trail Title teacher will demonstrate a commitment to learning and positively impact student achievement through support, training and coaching. Working with students and staff, the Title teacher will build capacity to enhance teaching and learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as an instructional leader to provide staff development, support, and direct and explicit feedback to At-Risk Tutors about the implementation of scientifically-based programs, instructional strategies, and assessments
- Support KSDE Title and MTSS requirements
- Assist in the administration and interpretation of progress monitoring and diagnostic assessments
- Model and train the practices associated with assessment of literacy and math, including data analysis and data driven decision making
- Model techniques for effective delivery of reading and intervention
- Support effective implementation of the district-adopted interventions
- In conjunction with the at-risk coordinator, collect, organize and submit data, reports and other information to inform building and district practices
- Collaborate and contribute within a professional learning community
- Engage in continuous learning and ongoing professional development
- Use a variety of research-based instructional practices and current resources that support instructional goals and learner needs
- Modify support to meet individual needs
- Use monitoring techniques to facilitate learning
- Use a variety of data in making instructional decisions
- Plan and coordinate a summer school program in partnership with the at-risk coordinator
- This position requires an additional 20 working days other than assigned calendar days.

Qualifications Requirements:

Certificates/Licenses/Endorsements/Registrations
Kansas teaching license required
Reading Specialist or advanced degree preferred
Qualifications and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Reading Specialist or Master’s degree preferred
Evidence of at least five years of successful classroom teaching experience
Evidence of successful presentation and facilitation experience
Knowledge of and evidence of successful work with adult learners
Knowledge of and evidence of successful work with at-risk readers
Knowledge and Skills

Evidence of planning and organizational skills
Ability to structure own time and management of multiple priorities
